The first round of talks in Pakistan ended without an agreement, but Reuters, citing sources, said Tehran and Washington had reached a tentative agreement to extend a cease-fire announced in April and lift restrictions on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. However, US President Donald Trump has yet to approve the agreement.
The Iranian news agency Tasnim announced that it has not been finally confirmed, noting that it has undergone changes in recent days.
