Ukrainian Armed Forces: 228 out of 265 UAVs were intercepted at night. Russian Defense Ministry: 72 drones shot down

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports that on the night of June 1, 2026, the Russian military launched 265 kamikaze UAVs and other types of drones across Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses claim to have intercepted 228 UAVs launched by the Russian military. 27 strike UAVs were recorded in 18 locations, as well as falling fragments in 12 locations. Damage was caused in Odessa, Chernihiv and Kharkov regions, there were victims, including children.

The Russian Ministry of Defense states that on the night of June 1, 216 Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs were intercepted on the territory of the Russian Federation (it is not said how many could not be intercepted). Interceptions were carried out over the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk and Rostov regions, as well as over the Crimea. Information about the damage caused is being clarified.

UAV attacks from both sides continue.
