Reference was made to the programs aimed at the development of regional interdependence, as well as the interaction aimed at the continuous strengthening of democratic resistance, as part of the RA-EU strategic agenda, the message said.

Martha Kos, for her part, wrote in X that she had a productive telephone conversation with Ararat Mirzoyan, during which she reaffirmed “the European Union’s solidarity with Armenia against Russia’s growing economic coercion.”

“We are looking for ways to increase EU support to Armenia in a short period of time. We will also accelerate our work to promote trade and energy links to and within the South Caucasus, supporting Armenia’s economic ties with its immediate neighbors,” the EU commissioner wrote.

“Armenia is a sovereign and independent country, whose people are free to choose the country’s path,” Marta Kos emphasized.

Yesterday, the European Union condemned any attempt by Russia to put pressure on Armenia in an official statement.

Before the Armenian parliamentary elections, Russia restricts the entry of a number of Armenian products into its market, citing quality inconsistency.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan promised today that the Government will subsidize businesses affected by Russia’s restrictions.

The Prime Minister also said that “several business delegations are working today, and the first batches of roses and vegetables have already left. They will arrive, I will tell you which countries.”
