What violations did the “Independent Observer” record?

In one of the polling stations in the center of Yerevan (9/51), the voting was interrupted for about 40 minutes and according to Daniel Ioannisyan, a member of the organization, there were people who left without voting. The job failed for a technical reason.

“Electronic registration devices and coupons fail in some places, in some places the number printed on the devices does not correspond to the list number and slows down the process, because the committee member has to find where the voter is on the list in the old ways,” said Daniel Ioannisyan.

As of now, observers have been in 1420 election precincts. Violations were observed in 387 locations.

“About 5.5 percent of observed precincts are procedural, non-essential violations, in about 4.5 percent the violations are related to confidentiality, in 4 percent they are manifestations of control, in terms of psychological control of voters,” reports the “Independent Observer”.

According to this organization, 20 percent of the violations were committed by members of precinct committees, as well as proxies.

“41 percent are representatives of the “Strong Armenia” bloc, 26 percent are representatives of the “Civil Agreement”, Daniel Ioannisyan said at the press conference.

And what is the result of the queues, have they noticed that people are being brought to the polling stations? An “independent observer” has yet to analyze whether the hoardings are a result of voter activism or have brought people to organized polling stations.

It has been noticed that a number of Russian sources are spreading false news that there is voting for dead people, while, according to Ioannisyan, there has been no such thing in Armenia for a long time.

“We continue to follow the findings of the Anti-Corruption Committee in cases of electoral bribery and other electoral crimes. This is the main factor behind the unprecedented nature of these elections. We have not seen such intense revelations before,” Ioannisyan said.
