“Strong Armenia” reports on the pressures and claims that “the published figures do not reflect the real picture”

“Strong Armenia” declares that during the electoral process, the bloc acted “under conditions of unprecedented and massive pressures and persecutions” and that thus the figures published by the CEC “cannot reflect the real picture”.

“The pre-election phase was accompanied by targeted actions against our leader, candidates, supporters and teammates, massive illegal arrests and criminal prosecutions, which were aimed at limiting political competition and affecting the free expression of voters,” wrote Marianna Ghahramanyan, spokesperson of “Strong Armenia”.

The alliance claims that an administrative resource was used on the voting day.

“Besides this, an unprecedented phenomenon happened. until the results of all the polling stations were processed by the CEC, Nikol Pashinyan announced “victory and forming a one-man power”, which was a direct instruction and impulse to the CEC,” the statement of the party’s spokesperson said.

It is noted that “under these conditions, the figures published cannot reflect the real picture” and that the central headquarters of the “Strong Armenia” alliance is currently engaged in “situation analysis”.

The ruling power, at the press conference called yesterday, countered: there can be no question of any political persecution, those who have committed illegalities are arrested.

The Central Electoral Commission has summarized the preliminary results of the elections, according to which the votes are distributed as follows.

“Civil contract” – 727 thousand 827 votes, 49.825 percent;

“Strong Armenia” – 340 thousand 88 votes, 23.281 percent;

“Armenia” alliance – 145 thousand 113 votes, 9.934 percent;

“Prosperous Armenia” party – 58 thousand 378 votes, 3.996 percent.

According to these preliminary results, 0.004 percent is not enough for PAP to overcome the temporary 4 percent threshold.
