Heilbronn district: Accident on the A6! Eight children seriously injured

Kirchardt (Baden-Württemberg) – Serious mass crash at the end of a traffic jam on the A6 in Baden-Württemberg. A total of four vehicles collided near Kirchardt in the Heilbronn district. 13 people were injured, mostly seriously, including eight children. They were taken to hospitals in rescue helicopters, but their lives were not in danger, a police spokeswoman said.

The minibus of a youth football group was on Saturday evening from Sinsheim-Steinsfurt to Bad Rappenau (Baden-Württemberg) on the way. The driver apparently overlooked the end of a traffic jam. He crashed into the back of a stationary car.

According to police, two other drivers recognized the situation too late and collided with the two vehicles.

Eight children seriously injured in accident

According to a police spokesman, the eight seriously injured children are all around twelve years old. Three adults also suffered serious injuries and two others suffered minor injuries.

“We don’t yet know whether the children in the youth soccer group were on the way back from a game,” a police spokesman told BILD.

Of course, it could also be that the group was on the way to a TV football evening together for the Germany game.

A large contingent of rescue workers was there after Accident in use for almost five hours. The motorway in the direction of Heilbronn remained completely closed during the rescue work.
