Artsrun Hovhannisyan, head of the National Defense Research University of the Ministry of Defense

Albert Baghdadyan was dismissed from the position of the head of the university.

The President took as a basis the recommendations of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Hovhannisyan held the position of the press secretary of the head of the military department of Armenia in 2012-2020, during the 44-day war he led the daily press conferences of the “Armenian United Platform” center. In 2021, he was appointed an expert of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly, and in 2023, he was appointed as the head of the Command Staff Institute named after Marshal Hovhannes Baghramyan of the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy of the RA Ministry of Defense.

Based on the Prime Minister’s recommendations, the President also signed decrees on the appointment of Major General Garegin Poghosyan as the commander of the Special Army Corps and Major General Simon Nazaryan as the commander of the 2nd Army Corps.

Armen Gyozalyan was dismissed from the position of the commander of the special army corps, Levon Davidyan, the commander of the special forces, Hamlet Levonyan, the head of the Department of Armaments and Technical Support of the Defense Ministry.
