The Russian embassy in Sweden reported an attack on the diplomatic representation

According to the message of the embassy, ​​the incident happened at night, around 02:00. It is noted that one of the ATSs threw a container of red paint into the territory of the embassy, ​​and the second, to which an object similar to an improvised explosive device was attached, fell on the territory of the diplomatic representation, next to the building.

The Russian side assessed what happened not only as a provocation, but also as an “open intimidation attempt”.

The embassy also claims that similar incidents in Stockholm already have a systemic nature, and local law enforcement agencies, according to them, are limited only to the formal recording of cases.

The Swedish authorities have not yet officially responded.

A similar incident was also reported last year in May, when a can of paint was thrown into the territory of the Russian Embassy in Stockholm. At that time, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it was going to send a note of protest to the Swedish side, calling on Sweden to “rein in the radicals”.
