The Houthis said they attacked Saudi planes in the skies over Yemen

Yemen’s Houthis (Ansar Allah) said on Friday, July 3, that Saudi aircraft had invaded Yemen’s airspace in an attempt to prevent an Iranian civilian airliner from landing in Sana’a.

The Houthis said there were more than 200 wounded and sick Yemenis on board the Iranian plane.

The Houthis said they intercepted the Saudi planes with air defense missiles, forcing them to leave Yemeni airspace.

“We warn the criminal Saudi enemy against repeating any attempts to violate our airspace. Such actions will be met with a comprehensive response, the targets of which will be its airports and vital interests on land and sea,” Yahya Sari, a representative of the Yemeni terrorist organization, said in a video message.
