Kuwait intercepts new missiles and drones over its airspace

The Kuwaiti Armed Forces reported Tuesday that they have again intercepted missiles and drones over its airspace as Tehran increases attacks against US interests in the region after US forces launched a new barrage of airstrikes against “military targets throughout Iran.”

“Any explosion that is recorded will take place as a result of the interception process by anti-aircraft defense systems in the event of hostile attacks,” the Army said in a statement, although it did not provide information on possible victims or injuries. In this sense, he has asked the population to “follow the safety instructions issued by the competent authorities.”

Previously, Kuwaiti forces had reported the presence of “hostile aerial objects within the airspace” of the country.

Hours earlier, the Revolutionary Guard had claimed attacks against the US naval base at Jufair in Bahrain, headquarters of the naval forces of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) and the US Fifth Fleet, and US positions in Jordan, within the framework of the third consecutive night of attacks between Washington and Tehran in the Middle East.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) had previously launched a new wave of strikes against targets in Iran, including Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa and Bandar Abbas, in order to “further undermine Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping”, amid fears about a possible collapse of efforts to move towards a Middle East peace deal.
