The President of the United States Donald Trump met today (Tuesday) at the White House with the President of Lebanon Joseph Aoun. During the joint press conference, Trump emphasized that at least at this stage he is not interested in negotiations with Iran. “The Iranians are desperate to meet with us but until they are ready to do significant things we are not interested in meeting with them,” he said.

Trump was asked if he would talk to Hezbollah, and replied: “I’ll put it this way – if the president (Aon) thinks I should talk to Hezbollah, I’ll talk to them.”
