They confirmed the indictment against the crime group of the former kickboxing champion: they ‘earned’ 1.7 million euros from drugs

Only one of the supposedly less important members of the group recently settled with USKOK, who was accused of transporting one and a half kilos of heroin from Zagreb to Zadvarje. He was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison, and was sentenced to a secondary fine of 18,000 euros. After the verdict, he was released from the pre-trial detention center.

Benzon and the other defendants are accused by USKOK of earning approximately 1.7 million euros during 2020 and 2021, in approximately one year of operation, by reselling various types of drugs.

Jakša Cvitanovi from Velolu is among the accused. Cvik, who is still on trial for laundering money allegedly obtained by selling drugs in Korcula from 2003 to 2006. Cvitanović he served his prison sentence for drug dealing a long time ago, and in the meantime he has been rehabilitated.

USKOK launched another investigation last week against Benzon, a member of Frane Trešnji’s group and a policeman from the Split intervention police. The policeman suspects that, at the request of the leader of the group and his relative Trešnji, he checked the registration numbers of vehicles that Benzon suspected were following him in the MUP information system. The disputed checks were allegedly carried out at the beginning of 2021, while the suspected policeman was working at PNUSKOK.
