After 10 days of intense negotiations, the European Union adopted another package of sanctions against Russia, which is the most extensive since the war against Ukraine.
The blacklist includes banks, cryptocurrency companies, more than 40 ships of the shadow navy, as well as a number of oil refineries located in Russia and Belarus.
Negotiations have been deadlocked for weeks, as the European Commission proposed to ban the re-export of Russian liquefied natural gas through EU ports to third countries from next year, which Greece opposed.
After long discussions, the parties agreed to postpone the implementation of this proposal for one year. In return, Greece agreed to restrictions against the Russian oil industry. Accordingly, the maximum price limit set for Russian oil, 44 dollars 10 cents per barrel, will remain in force for another year.
