The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio told his Russian counterpart this Thursday, Sergei Lavrov that the United States is prepared to mediate between Russia and Ukraine in the open war from 2022.
Russia, likewise, accused European countries of promoting “destabilizing” policies that “seek to inflict a ‘strategic defeat’” on Moscow.
Peace negotiations between Moscow and kyiv, mediated by Washington, have been stalled since last February, when the United States launched its offensive against Iran.
Since then, the Ukrainians have increased their attacks against the Russian rear, leading Moscow to intensify its bombing of kyiv and the Black Sea port of Odessa.
