Dubai is empty, there are no tourists. They offer 700 euros for arrival

According to data published on the Dubai tourism website, as part of the “Dubai Invite” program organized by the Department of Economy and Tourism of the emirate, residents who bring friends and relatives from abroad will receive a number of benefits in return, such as discounts on hotel accommodation, meals in restaurants and tickets to tourist attractions.

Each resident can claim up to three such “benefit packages” for visitors arriving in Dubai by the end of October.

Visitors, such as friends or relatives, must not be residents of the United Arab Emirates and must enter the country with a tourist visa. Local reports say that more than 10,000 requests were submitted in the first 48 hours after the announcement of the program.

Last year, almost 20 million foreign tourists visited the city, which is a record number.

The Iran war, which began at the end of February with attacks by the United States and Israel, has hit Dubai and the capital of the Emirates, Abu Dhabi, hard.

The Iranian attacks targeted oil facilities in the Emirates, the airport in Dubai and some civilian areas where hotels are located.

Revenues have plummeted, and the number of airlines operating in Dubai has halved.
