The President of Kazakhstan at a meeting with Putin called for “freezing” the war in Ukraine

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, called for “freezing” the Russian-Ukrainian war.

According to Tokayev, he “receives many signals” from the United States and Europe regarding the “conflict situation” between Russia and Ukraine. He noted that he “informed” Putin about this.

“This is just my humble opinion, since people turn to me. Maybe this conflict should be frozen and returned to the Istanbul Formula 2.0, since significant results were achieved there. Naturally, under the guarantees of the great powers, including Russia, we should continue to move towards the long-awaited peace,” Tokayev suggested.

“It’s a pity that young people are dying. This is the gene pool of the fraternal peoples – Russia and Ukraine. All this must be stopped, because what is happening is to the advantage and joy of the opponents of Russia and the Ukrainian state,” Tokayev concluded.

In response, Putin said that during the conversation he would inform Tokayev in detail about the situation in the “Ukrainian direction,” Meduza reports.
