Zelensky-Trump, meeting at the White House and smiles: the decisions on the Patriots

“Great meeting.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky takes stock after meeting with Donald Trump for over an hour. The meeting in the Oval Office of the White House took place behind closed doors. No statement before the meeting and no interaction with the press at the end. “Excellent meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office,” Zelensky writes on his Telegram profile. “We discussed with the president about licenses for the production of interceptors for the Patriot and other ideas that could be useful. We also talked about diplomacy: it is important to give further impetus to the diplomatic process” to end the war with Russia.

“Our teams will agree on the details of the next communications. We are grateful to the United States for their strong support”, adds the Ukrainian president, expressing gratitude for the commitment “to protect the lives of Ukrainians and achieve peace”. Zelensky in Washington will pay tribute to Senator Lindsey Graham, who recently passed away. “I expressed our condolences to President Trump on the passing of Lindsey Graham. He was a true friend of Ukraine.”
