Failure of EAEU principles to work is not only the problem of Armenia, it is the problem of the entire EAEU. Papoyan

The non-functioning of EAEU principles is not only the problem of Armenia, it is the problem of the entire EAEU, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced in a conversation with journalists, referring to the phone conversation with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin and EAEU restrictions.

“We treat that organization as our organization, and we cannot have a neutral or passive attitude towards any non-working mechanism of that organization,” Papoyan said.

In a telephone conversation with Putin on July 27, Pashinyan emphasized that the restrictions on the export of goods of Armenian origin to the Russian market contradict the legal framework of the Armenia-Russia treaty and the regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union, and asked to take measures to resolve these issues.

According to EAEU legislation, all countries are obliged to ensure the free movement of services, goods, and labor. There is a menu. If this is not ensured, it means that EAEU legislation and principles of EAEU formation do not work.

As a full member of EAEU and a country that is concerned about the fate of EAEU, we want EAEU to exist and work, not like CSTO.

We think that we should work with this system, because the fact that it is sold in the United Arab Emirates, it is sold in the European Union market, it is sold in China, it is not possible that it cannot be sold in Russia,” said Papoyan.
