32-year-old German resident Andre Ortolf set a world record by bursting 60 balloons in 30 seconds using an ordinary plumbing plunger. The achievement is officially registered by the Guinness Book of Records.
The previous record belonged to American Kevin Dane, who during the same time managed to burst 23 balloons with a plunger. Thus, Ortolf exceeded his result by more than two and a half times.
The record was set on April 3, 2026 in Augsburg. Ortolf, who works for a family-owned recycling company, specializes in unusual records. According to him, this test was not only fun for the participant, but also spectacular for the public.
