A Turkish Air Force F-16 fighter crashed on Wednesday, August 12, during a training flight in Yalova province in the north-west of the country. This was reported by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.

The pilot managed to eject and survived. According to Turkish media, after first aid was provided, he was taken to hospital for examination.

The plane crashed in the Ciftlikkoy area, near the village of Tashkopru. Rescuers, firefighters and security forces were sent to the scene. The causes of the accident are being established.
