Ukrainian police closed 94 call centers of scammers who also worked with other countries

According to the investigation, in some cases, operators called on behalf of banks and reported allegedly suspicious transactions or the threat of account blocking. In others, they presented themselves as brokers and convinced them to invest in fictitious investment and cryptocurrency platforms. Some of the victims promised to help return the money that they had previously lost due to scammers.

Another area of ​​activity of scammers identified by the police is the sale of dietary supplements without a doctor’s prescription.

During the searches, more than 3 thousand pieces of computer equipment, about 2 million dollars, 64 thousand euros, bank gold, cars and other assets were seized.

Some call centers were aimed at citizens of other countries, including EU countries.
