The fifteen-year-old Italian, detained in Malta since May 25th on charges of causing a bomb threat in the school he attended, according to what Adnkronos has learned from informed sources, will be subjected to a psychological evaluation to ensure that he is not harmed due to the current conditions of isolation from his peers. This is what emerged at the hearing which took place today, Wednesday 26 August, in Malta. Judge Tanya Sammut, assigned to the case since the hearing on August 19, ordered that the report on Flavio Santoiemma must be delivered by 30 September.
The boy was arrested by the Maltese authorities on May 25th. The Italian Embassy in Malta, in collaboration with the Farnesina, is closely following the case and maintains constant contact with the boy’s parents.
