Prince Harry, his wife Meghan and their two children arrived in Great Britain today.
The couple moved from Great Britain to California six years ago amid strained relations with the royal family. The Telegraph and other media reported that they have now arrived at the airport in Birmingham, England, on a private plane.
Their children, seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibeth, have already been enrolled in one of the local private schools and will start their studies in September.
41-year-old Harry and 45-year-old Meghan, who hold the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, gave up their duties as senior members of the royal family in 2020 and moved to the United States.
In 2020, when the couple stepped down from their royal duties, Harry’s grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, stripped them of the title of “Her Royal Highness” as well as government funding and police protection.
Their relations with the royal family became more strained later. Harry’s “Spare” memoir and Meghan’s sensational interview with Oprah Winfrey also contributed to this.
Harry and Meghan recently met with King Charles III after a long break. However, the couple had not met William and Catherine. Therefore, one of the main questions in the background of their return is whether the two brothers will be able to reconcile. The question of whether Harry and his family will receive state-funded security in the UK also remains open.
