The “Hijab Protest” in Iran: Demonstrators vandalized Khomeini’s statue

The “hijab protest” continues to sweep Iran, following the death of the young woman Mehsa Amini. The US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan He stated that the world is following the killing of the protesters in Iran, and added that the US will make sure to place the responsibility “on those who used violence to silence the voices of protest”.

The UNICEF organization expressed great concern about the harm to children and teenagers during the suppression of the demonstrations in the country, and the British government announced that new sanctions would be taken against security and political figures in the country. Among other things, it was decided to freeze the assets of the commander of Iran’s chastity guards, Mohammad Rostani Gashi, and the commander of the Iranian police, Hossein Sanctions were also imposed on the commander of the Basij force, a militia operating within the Revolutionary Guards.
