Report: “Roman Abramovich suffered from symptoms of poisoning”
About two hours after the Wall Street Journal reported tonight (Monday) that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich suffered symptoms of poisoning earlier this month after a meeting in Kiev as part of Russia-Ukraine mediation attempts, Abramovich’s spokesman officially confirms: “He suffered symptoms of poisoning in time Peace talks. ” This is against the background of reports that Abramovitch offered to equip the Ukrainian army and even transfer its activities to Ukraine. The Russian oligarch and at least two senior members of the Ukrainian team who took part in the negotiations suffered from symptoms that included red eyes, tears, pain, wounds and peeling of the face and hands, which are considered typical of poisoning. According to a report in the WSJ, behind the poisoning attempt are elements in Moscow who oppose the negotiations.

According to the report, the condition of Abramovich and Ukrainian politician Rustem Omrov has improved since then and their lives are not in danger. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who met with Abramovich, was not affected. Zelensky’s spokesman said he had no information on suspicion of poisoning.

Guardian journalist Sean Walker confirmed the report and said a knowledgeable source said Abramovitch had lost his sight for several hours and was being treated in Turkey.

Western experts who have examined the incident claim that it is difficult to determine whether the symptoms were caused by a chemical, biological toxin or a radioactive substance. Although the original report states that it is not clear who carried out the attack, the sources who leaked the information believe that these are extremist Russian elements who do not want the success of the talks.

According to the same reports, the peace talks in question took place on the night between March 3 and 4. The symptoms were seen as symptoms of chemical poisoning, and the three injured Ukrainians were treated in an apartment in Kiev. The symptoms gradually subsided during the following week.

Yesterday, journalist Natalia Karpiva reported that Ukrainian President Zelensky had confirmed that several Russian oligarchs, including Abramovich, had offered to send money to the Ukrainian army, rebuild Ukraine and move their businesses there. Zelensky said any Russian businessman willing to support his army would be offered security and work.
