Russia has denied involvement in Abramovich’s poisoning

Russia today (Tuesday) rejected the claim that it poisoned oligarch Roman Abramovich, after volunteering to act as an objective mediator between them and Ukraine. According to the Kremlin, the information about Abramovich’s poisoning was passed on as part of an “information war” and that it was a false report.

In addition, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that the presence of the oligarch, on whom many sanctions were imposed by the Western world after the invasion of Ukraine, was not part of the official Russian delegation. According to him, Abramovich was only present at the talks.

The Kremlin’s denial comes in the wake of long hours of reports that some have secretly acted to poison Abramovich, along with other participants in the mediation meetings. The initial report appeared in the Wall Street Journal, which claimed that the poisoning took place earlier this month in Kiev.

According to the report, the poisoned developed symptoms of red eyes, incessant and painful tears and peeling of the skin on the face and hands. One of the members of the Ukrainian negotiating team that was allegedly poisoned was the Tatar legislature from the Crimean peninsula, Rustem Omrov. Omarov denied the publications.
