Mayor of Kiev: Russia committed genocide in Ukraine

The mayor of the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, said today that he was shocked by the “cruel war crimes” committed by Russian soldiers in the city of Bucha northwest of the capital, which can only be described as genocide.

He said Russian President Vladimir Putin was responsible for “cruel war crimes” in which civilians were “killed with their hands tied”.

Klitschko called on the whole world, and especially Germany, to immediately stop the import of gas from Russia, saying that not a penny should arrive in Russia anymore, because that money is used to finance the “slaughter of people”.

“The gas and oil embargo must be imposed immediately,” he said.
