Horror mistake in the clinic: Erroneous abortion during routine check | News

Threshold – She wanted to be sure that her unborn baby was okay.

But then a woman had an abortion at Bulovka University Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic – a mistake!

The unbelievable mistake happened when the expectant mother showed up at the clinic for a routine check-up last Monday.

Almost at the same time as her, another woman arrived at the gynecology ward of the hospital. But this patient had to undergo a so-called “curettage,” a medical scraping of the uterus.

Instead of carrying out the routine procedure on this patient, the scraping was carried out on the prospective mother in a neighboring treatment room. The woman then suffered a miscarriage.

“The hospital director and the head of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics have informed the Ministry of Health about the adverse incident that occurred on March 25th at the Bulovka University Hospital,” says ministry spokesman Ondřej Jakob. And further: “The ministry expresses its condolences to the patient and her “We express our deep regrets to the whole family.”

The TV station CNN Prima News first reported on the terrible incident. Jacob was quoted there as saying: “An unforgivable human error has occurred, the culprits have been removed from service for the time being.”

The hospital itself announced to the news portal “Novinky.cz” that it was ready to pay compensation. According to Czech media, both patients are foreign citizens who both live permanently in the Czech Republic.

Officials did not provide any information about the women’s identities.
