The Israeli website Ynet reports that on April 24, IDF Chief of Staff Herzi A-Levi and the head of the General Security Service (Shin Bet) Ronen Bar visited Cairo.
According to political observer Itamar Eichner, A-Levi and Bar met in Cairo with the head of Egyptian intelligence, Abbas Kamal, and discussed with him scenarios for action during the IDF operation in Rafah (Rafah) in the southern Gaza Strip.
