Hamas released a video of a hostage they kidnapped at the beginning of the war: 'I have been here for almost 200 days…'

Hersh Goldberg-Polin, an Israeli with an American passport, was abducted on October 7 at the Nova festival, in the moments when the Hamas attack on Israel began. At the time, he was seriously wounded, and family and friends thought Hersh was dead.

Nevertheless, Hamas released a video in which they talked to the camera. CNN writes that his hand was injured. In order to confirm that the wordč precisely about him, he had to say his parents’ dates of birth and their names.

– I have been here for almost 200 days – he says in the video. In it, he criticized the Israeli government and asked his parents to stay strong in these difficult times.

Similar criticisms were made to the Israeli authorities by other hostages, and they especially criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hersh was born in the USA, and the family moved to Israel in 2008. His parents told CNN in October that their son had sent them two messages shortly after the October 7 attack. “I love you” and “I miss you” wrote Harsh, his parents tried to call him, but he never answered.
