On Wednesday, April 24, US President Joe Biden met at the White House with 4-year-old Avigail Idan, who was kidnapped by terrorists from Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7 and spent almost 60 days in Hamas tunnels.
US national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters that the meeting at the White House with the little American girl and her family “was a reminder of the work that remains to be done to secure the release of dozens of people abducted by Hamas and, apparently, still held captive.”
Avigail, who has Israeli and US citizenship, was kidnapped by terrorists from Kibbutz Kfar Azah, and her mother and father were killed by terrorists. The girl became the first American woman released by Hamas on November 26 as part of a swap deal with Israel. Avigail celebrated her fourth birthday in the terrorist tunnels.
