Explosion rocks one of the largest mosques in Afghanistan

Afghan media reported that an explosion occurred today, Thursday, in a large mosque in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif.

And “Tolo News” channel confirmed that the explosion rocked the “Seh Dokan” mosque, which is located in a popular area in the fourth largest city in Afghanistan.

The channel quoted Ghawth Al-Din Anuri, head of the Abu Ali Sina Balkhi Hospital in Mazar-i-Sharif, as confirming that a number of wounded had been transferred to him after the explosion, adding that the outcome was not yet clear.

The “Herat Times” media platform indicated on its Telegram channel that the “Seh Dokan” mosque is one of the largest and oldest mosques in Afghanistan.
