At the heart of this transformation is Adventure Way, a spectacular new main boulevard, the new family attraction Raiponce Tangled Spin inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film Flounder, a huge central lake called Adventure Bay, home to Disney’s spectacular nighttime waterfall of lights, and 15 new food courts. The highlight of this expansion is the World of Frozen complex.
During the launch ceremony, Disney executives shared their vision for this historic milestone. Natasha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris, said: “With Disney Adventure World, we are not only introducing the second park of Disneyland Paris – we are opening a door to a new era, where guests enter directly into the heart of the stories they love.”
“We continue to expand Disneyland Paris with a long-term vision. The innovation of the second park reflects everything that Disney stands for – limitless imagination that connects people.” added Thomas Mazlum, chairman of Disney Experiences.
In the meantime, during an official event, it was revealed that it is the leading tourist destination in Europe, with 445 million visits since its opening in 1992, which is about 6.1 percent of France’s tourism revenue. The €2 billion investment announced in 2018 for Disney Adventure World led to the recruitment of over 1,000 new team members and collaboration with around 400 suppliers.
