Sun PhuQuoc Airways opens two more direct flights to Seoul

Sun Group’s airline operates flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Seoul from August 25, with a frequency of one round trip per day.

To date, the airline has three direct flights between Vietnam and Korea, including Phu Quoc, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Seoul, with 28 flights per week. The unit said that just over three months after launching the first flight Phu Quoc – Seoul on April 17, SPA continues to expand its presence in one of Vietnam’s largest international tourist markets. This is also the company’s fastest expanding connection network in the current period.

The Hanoi – Seoul route departs from Hanoi at 4:20 p.m., landing at Incheon International Airport at 10:40 p.m. (Local Time). The return flight takes off from Seoul at 0:15 a.m. (Local Time), arriving in Hanoi at 3:10 a.m.

On the Ho Chi Minh City – Seoul route, the flight leaves Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 3:25 p.m. and lands in Incheon at 10:40 p.m. (Local Time). The return trip departs from Seoul at 0:10 a.m. (Local Time) and arrives in Ho Chi Minh City at 3:35 a.m.

The airline’s representative said that the flight schedule is designed to be convenient for both tourists, business travelers, and visiting relatives. On the occasion of opening sale, the airline applies preferential ticket prices for the first 20 passengers on each route in the first two weeks of operation, from 3.41 million VND one-way for the Hanoi – Seoul route and from 3.295 million VND one-way for the Ho Chi Minh City – Seoul route (ticket prices may change according to the exchange rate at the time of ticket issuance). Children from 2 to 11 years old are charged a price equal to 75% of the adult ticket price, while passengers aged 60 and over are reduced to 85% of the regular ticket price.

From now until September 23, the airline offers free standard seat selection, a 50% discount on the front seat selection fee, and a 20% discount on the fee for purchasing additional checked baggage in addition to the free standard included in the ticket.

On flights to Seoul, Sun Phu Quoc Airways continues to pursue the “Resort in the Sky” model with a new generation fleet of aircraft. The passenger compartment uses warm tones, wide seats, signature La Festa fragrance and a wireless entertainment system (IFE).

Meals are served to full standards with a menu combining Vietnamese, Asian, and European cuisine. Accompanying drinks include TWG tea, Lam Dong coffee, Sun KraftBeer craft beer…

Passengers participating in Sun Group’s Sun Signature loyalty program can accumulate points after each flight to redeem award tickets, checked baggage, select seats and use benefits in the Sun Group ecosystem. The two highest card classes also integrate payment features through cooperation between NCB bank and Visa.

According to a representative of Sun PhuQuoc Airways, the opening of two more routes comes from positive demand on the Phu Quoc – Seoul route and is the next step in the connection strategy between Vietnam and Korea.

Korea is currently one of the major international markets for Vietnamese tourism. In 2025, Vietnam will welcome about 4.3 million Korean visitors. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, the number of visitors reached more than 1.32 million, while more than 167,000 Vietnamese visitors came to Korea, an increase of nearly 30% over the same period last year.

In particular, the destination of both routes is Incheon International Airport – the airport ranked second best in the world by Skytrax in 2026. This place is also one of Asia’s major transit centers, conveniently connecting to Northeast Asia, North America, Europe and the Middle East.

In 2026, the airline will in turn operate direct international flights to Phu Quoc from Chengdu (July 16), Singapore (July 25) and Bangkok (August 8), and is planning to expand to Malaysia, India, Japan, Russia and Kazakhstan.

On the same day, Sun PhuQuoc Airways also launched new domestic itineraries connecting the Central region including Hanoi – Dong Hoi (one flight per day) and Dong Hoi – Nha Trang (three flights per week) on July 6. The flight is expected to operate from August 16. Passengers who book tickets during the on-sale period will receive a 20% discount on the ticket price with code “NEWROUTES”.

In parallel, the domestic flight network connecting Phu Quoc with Da Lat, Can Tho and Buon Ma Thuot will be developed according to the “spoke axis” model, placing Phu Quoc as the focal point, directly connecting major cities at home and abroad.

To meet the high growth in operating capacity, Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans to increase its fleet size to 26 aircraft by the end of August. From September, the airline will put into operation the Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft line, creating a solid foundation to gradually realize the strategy of expanding the international flight network “Rise to the World”.
