Nghe AnMr. Phan Van Dung was fined 7.5 million VND for charging tourists more money for car parking than the price listed by Cua Lo ward.
On the evening of July 28, the People’s Committee of Cua Lo ward issued a decision to impose administrative sanctions on Mr. Dung, 41 years old, residing in block 16, Vinh Phu ward. In addition to being fined, violators are also forced to refund customers the amount collected that is higher than the listed price.
Mr. Dung is the owner of parking lot number 19 in Cua Lo beach resort. A few days ago, when tourists drove cars into parking lot No. 19, Mr. Dung collected 30,000 VND per turn, while the public price list here stipulates a fee of only 20,000 VND per turn.

Cua Lo Ward said that in the coming time, it will increase inspection of tourism businesses, especially parking lots, restaurants, accommodation establishments and services that easily cause price violations. In case of not posting prices, charging higher than listed prices or affecting the tourism environment will be strictly handled according to regulations.
Cua Lo Beach is more than 10 km from the center of Vinh City (old) and more than 300 km from Hanoi. It is a famous destination in the Central region, welcoming millions of domestic and foreign tourists every summer.
This tourist area currently has about 20 parking lots and parking lots, mainly along Binh Minh Street and neighboring roads. During peak periods, parking lots in the area are always overloaded.
