Intel has presented the Intel Core Series 3 mobile processors which are built with the Core Ultra 3 series architecture to bring performance, autonomy and support for artificial intelligence to mid-range laptops
Intel Core Series 3, known internally as Wildcat Lake, introduces new Intel processors designed to offer “excellent value for money” in essential mid-range and edge business laptops, aimed at schools, businesses and consumers.
They are based on the architecture Intel Core Ultra Serie 3 (Panther Lake) and have been manufactured with the 2 nanometer 18A processwhich combines a new RibbonFET transistor architecture with a rear-side power delivery system that improves power flow and signal delivery.
As detailed by the company in a statement, the Intel Core Series 3 support workloads with artificial intelligence up to 40 TOPSthey offer a whole day of battery and support for up to two ports Thunderbolt 4, Intel WiFi 7 (R2) e Intel Bluetooth 6.
The new series of processors improve single-thread performance by up to 47 percent compared to a five-year-old PC, and multi-thread performance by up to 41 percent. It also increases GPU performance in AI up to 2.8 times.
Intel has clarified that these new chips are not limited to commercial devices, but have also been designed for use in robotics, smart buildings and point-of-sale terminals (VAT).
The Intel Core Series 3 for consumer and commercial use are now available on equipment from partners such as Acer, ASUS Dell, Honor and Haier; while edge systems with Intel Core Series 3 processors will be available starting in the second quarter of 2026.
