Linus Öberg moves to Kiekko-Espoo

Kiekko-Espoo has acquired a new striker from Sweden.

According to HS information, Malmö Redhawks winger Linus Öberg moves to Espoo for the next season.

25-year-old Öberg is known in Sweden for his good shot and hard work ethic. He has scored 17 goals in his best SHL season.

Last season, Öberg hit the post 13 times, when he scored 13+5=18 in 52 regular season matches. In the playoffs, Öberg scored 2+2=4 in eight matches.

Öberg, who plays with his right hand down, is moving abroad for the first time in his career. He has played 349 matches in the Swedish league and scored 77 goals and 119 power points.

He won the World Youth Championship bronze in 2020 in Sweden’s shirt.

Kiekko-Espoo has been swinging in the spring transfer market with a big wound.

The league club has already announced, among other things, the world champion Jere Sallinenthe Danish striker Mathias Fromin and Canadian defender Connor Corcoranin contracts.

Sallinen returns to Espoo from Switzerland. From and Corcoran have scored big points in the Austrian Icehl league.
