Austria’s ice hockey talent Biber signs NHL contract

Austria’s ice hockey defender Greg Biber has at Utah Mammoth receive a three-year NHL entry-level contract valid from next season. That’s what the club gave out Salt Lake City known. The 19-year-old from Lower Austria was drafted by Utah in 2024 and has played in the Swedish league for Rögle for the past three seasons. He most recently played for Austria at the World Cup in Switzerland. At Utah he will initially play in the AHL for the Tucson Roadrunners farm team.

“Gregor is a very talented defenseman who played very well in Sweden last season. We look forward to continuing to watch his development in our system,” said Utah General Manager Bill Armstrong.
