Lego has released the Sagrada Familia set, the largest set in its history.

After 144 years of construction, Barcelona’s famous Sagrada Familia basilica is nearing completion. Against this backdrop, Lego has unveiled a new set that allows fans to assemble a smaller replica of the temple from thousands of pieces, CNN reports.

The company continues to expand its line of architectural models of world landmarks – among them there are already the Eiffel Tower, the Trevi Fountain and iconic buildings of New York. The new set is dedicated to the Sagrada Familia and was released to mark the centenary of the death of its creator, the architect Antonio Gaudi.

To assemble the model you will need 12060 parts. When finished, the structure reaches 62 centimeters in height and reproduces the features of the largest church in the world, which is 172.5 meters high. The set is also priced at an impressive $799.99. Pre-orders are already open, but sales will start only on November 1.

One of the main features of the model was the effect of stained glass: colored elements imitate the play of light characteristic of a real basilica. According to Lego chief designer Rock Zhgalin Kobe, the team sought to convey Gaudí’s vision as carefully as possible, as well as highlight the complexity and scale of construction of the temple, turning the assembly process into a separate exciting journey.
