Two robots, an impeccable pool: we have tested Aiper’s most ambitious bet for the summer

The market for pool cleaning robots is experiencing one of its most competitive momentswith a multitude of companies trying to gain a foothold in the gardens of Spanish users. Every year new proposals arrive that promise to reduce maintenance and make the lives of pool owners easier and, in this context, Aiper seeks to continue positioning itself as one of the reference brands.

To do this, it has a new proposal: Experts Duo. A pack of two robots with which he wants to cover pool cleaning better than ever. It is not something super new, since we could already find the devices loose in their previous versions, but this effort by the brand makes us think that perhaps this format is better than the ‘all-in-one’ that most companies (including Aiper) already have on the market. We have been able to test both devices for several weeks and the feeling from the first moment is that, dividing tasks seems to improve efficiencyalso reducing the degradation of the machines. The system combines Scuba V3, responsible for underwater cleaning (including the floor and walls), with EcoSurfer S2, a solar-powered skimmer robot that takes care of the surface. And it is now in our power to put them to work at the same time or alternate them.

SCUBA V3 TAKES AI NAVIGATION TO ANOTHER LEVEL

The true protagonist of underwater work es Scuba V3. This robot incorporates Navium mode, powered by cognitive AI, capable of analyzing the size and shape of the pool, cleaning history and even weather conditions to automatically optimize its routes, frequency and work intensity. During our tests we appreciated orderly navigation and very complete coverage, especially in areas where the most waste tends to be concentrated.

Added to this is he AI ​​Patrol system, designed for detect and direct waste in real time, adapting the route to improve cleaning efficiency. In addition, Adaptive VisionPath technology uses vision based on artificial intelligence to optimize navigation and ensure complete coverage of the pool floor, also simplifying the start-up of the device.

Another aspect that we like about Aiper is the care of the user experience, adapted to all types of consumers: both those who want to take the product out of the box and start using it immediately (with simple and intuitive control from its physical button panel) and those who want to delve deeper into its functions and modes through the mobile application, which has outstanding integration.

ECOSURFER S2 TAKES OVER THE SURFACE

While Scuba V3 works underwater, EcoSurfer S2 is responsible for keeping the surface clean. This solar robot collects leaves, insects, pollen and other floating debris before they sink. On a daily basis, this function is especially useful because it prevents much of the dirt from accumulating at the bottom, where it would later require more demanding cleaning.

One of the most interesting aspects of EcoSurfer S2 is the incorporation of SolarSeeker technology, which allows the device follow the position of the sun when your battery decreases to recharge autonomously (Throughout the test we have not had to charge it even once and the battery has always been above 60%, despite intensive use during the day). It also integrates the DebrisGuard sealed gate, designed to prevent the collected waste from returning to the water, promoting constant and reliable surface cleaning throughout the day.

We also find it especially interesting that it includes a compartment for chlorine tablets, which allows you to distribute the product while you travel. This function helps to maintain a more stable balance of the water and avoid degradation of the tube and purifier system, which can be damaged if we put the chlorine tablets directly into the ‘skimmers’ located on the walls of the pool. Of course, the size of the compartment is designed for pills of up to 200 grams (the 250 grams, which are quite common, do not fit well). A shame it’s not a little bigger.

After several weeks of use, the main conclusion is that Aiper Experts Duo stands out for the complementarity of both devicesthe good work of the brand (with the latest technologies available for cleaning pools) and makes us think that, in this format, perhaps degradation can be reduced typical of devices – and batteries – that must always be in contact with water and exposed to prolonged exposure to the sun.
