US President Donald Trump has called Iran’s leadership “incredibly hypocritical”, saying they asked for talks to end the war, then said there were no talks.
“Nothing will happen to Iran if we don’t want it to, and nothing will happen to Iran if an Agreement or Full Capitulation is not signed,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
“Whether Iran wants to admit it or not, we’re actually talking about solving a problem that they’ve created for decades,” President Trump added.
It is regularly reported from Iran that currently Tehran is not negotiating with Washington.
A spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry also insisted that Iran had not asked to resume talks with the United States to end the war and that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz had not changed.
