Car accident in the Galilee: an entire family was injured

An entire family was injured this morning (Thursday) in a serious car accident on Route 89, near Ma’elia in the Western Galilee: A vehicle in which a couple of parents and their two small children were traveling veered off the road and overturned into a wadi. The four members of the family were evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, including the father and his 4-year-old son, who are in serious condition.

According to the Galilee Medical Center, a father, a mother and their two children were traveling in the car – a 4-year-old boy and a nine-month-old baby girl. The father and son were admitted to the trauma room in serious condition, and the mother and baby were in moderate condition. At this time, a medical assessment is being conducted at the hospital regarding their condition.

A senior medic at the MDA, Muhammad Zeitoun, said: “When we arrived at the scene of the incident, we noticed a vehicle inside the wadi, after it had apparently deteriorated during a drive. We gave them life-saving medical treatment and evacuated them in intensive care vehicles and ambulances to the hospital.” According to MDA, the father and the 4-year-old boy suffer from head injuries. The mother, 35 years old, was evacuated in moderate condition with injuries to her limbs, and the baby was also evacuated in moderate condition with injuries to her face.
