Three days off, four days work. What has been tested in Great Britain in a pilot project since June is also being desired by more and more people in this country. According to a survey by Statista, every second Austrian would welcome a legally anchored option to choose a 4-day week.

More and more companies are complying with this wish, not least because in times of a shortage of skilled workers every employer would like to improve their attractiveness. In Austria, too, some companies have tested the reduced working time model over the summer months. The KURIER asked how the tests went – and who introduced the 4-day week.
