Joel Hyrland – Comedian cheers on health
Joel Hyrland from Adam & Noah has not had any new problems with kidney stones after he smoked in and out of the hospital last year for several hospitalizations and failed surgeries. He calls himself ‘a new human being’.

2021 was an annus horribilis, which the comedian from the duo Adam & Noah, Joel Hyrland, would probably rather forget.

Most things went wrong for the 37-year-old funny man, who was both plagued by the pandemic that hit his wallet, and personal illness last year – and more.

In particular, the latter pulled teeth, as he was severely affected by kidney stone attacks and urinated blood every day for a month.

‘The last two years have been quite a struggle. First a pandemic that was to blame for me being hit both personally on my business, but as most of you also know on my tour with Adam & Noah. And since an accident rarely comes alone, of course, I also had to spend the past month and a half in and out of the hospital with surgeries and emergency checks, on top of a tour, just to spruce it up a bit. It has been painful ‘, Joel Hyrland wrote last year on his Instagram profile.

Since then, he was fortunately recovered, he was able to report in January.

However, it is often the case with the dreaded and very painful kidney stones that once you have been bothered by the phenomenon once, they can report their arrival again when you least expect it.

Fortunately, this has not happened, cheers Joel Hyrland when we meet him on the red carpet for this year’s Zulu Awards’ on Thursday night.

– I’m healthy again, have been through it all and to check in at the hospital. I’m kidney stone free and it feels like being a new human being again. It’s really nice, it sounds from Hyrland.

Some refunded tickets
He is asked a little cryptically when it comes to the plans for the time to come.

– It’s always about how much you can say. I’m working on a movie, but I think I’ll have to wait to tell something. I’ve actually put a lot of refrigeration right now because we’ve got our Adam & Noah ‘Farewell & Tjak’ show postponed at the Royal Arena until June 11th. We should have held it here in January, so now I really think I’ll put everything else on hold and wait until the Royal Arena is over.

The duo has previously been out begging and asking fans to keep purchased tickets, even though the show was postponed until the summer of 2022.

– What about refunds for tickets that you feared would tick in?

– Oh well. There were many who refunded – I think we ended up around 1500, so it was a big mouthful, but it could well have been worse. Now it’s over – the refund period is over, so now we have to start marketing again, try to sell the tickets and sell out the last one.

– But it looks good.
