10,755 electronic applications in “Ras Al Khaimah Economy” in the first quarter of 2026

The Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah recorded an outstanding performance in providing its digital services, as it received 10,755 electronic applications during the first quarter of this year, as part of its continuing efforts to enhance digital transformation and facilitate the customers’ journey. The requests submitted through electronic channels varied between renewing commercial licenses and issuing new licenses, in addition to requests to amend licenses, reflecting the growing economic activity in the emirate and the business community’s increasing reliance on the smart solutions provided by the department. The department confirmed that the completion rate of customers for electronic services reached 100%, which reflects the efficiency of the approved digital systems and the ease of procedures that allow transactions to be completed without the need to visit service centers.

This achievement comes as the department provides 53 integrated electronic services, designed specifically to meet the needs of investors and business owners, and contribute to accelerating the completion of transactions and enhancing the competitive business environment in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

Aisha Obaid Al-Ayyan, Acting Director of the Commercial Affairs Department, stressed the department’s keenness to continuously develop the electronic services system, ensuring the simplification of commercial licensing procedures and providing them with ease, noting that these efforts come in line with the strategy of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah aimed at promoting digital transformation and improving the quality of government services provided to the business community.

The department continues its efforts to develop its digital services and raise their efficiency, in line with the UAE government’s directions towards smart transformation, and enhances Ras Al Khaimah’s position as an attractive destination for investment and business. (wham)
