Ilka’s result was below the forecast

Marketing and Technology Group Ilkan the operating loss in January-March was 0.1 million euros, while at the same time last year the operating loss was 1.4 million euros. The company’s operating profit margin was -1.6 percent.

Ilka’s adjusted operating profit from its own operations was EUR 0.3 million in loss during the review period, while a year earlier it was EUR 0.2 million in loss.

Earnings per share were -0.01 euros, while at the same time last year it was -0.05 euros. The result was barely below Inderes’ forecast, which was EUR 0.00.

The company expects the turnover of continuing operations to increase from the previous year. The adjusted operating profit of own operations is estimated to remain at the previous year’s level, states the company’s press release.

The company has continued to make determined investments to strengthen competitiveness and growth, and the development of artificial intelligence is seen as a significant opportunity that speeds up the work of experts and brings new capabilities to customers, CEO Olli Pirhonen states in the press release.

Ilka’s associated company Arena Partners sold its share of Arena Interactive at the end of March, which had a positive effect of approximately EUR 0.7 million on Ilka’s associated company result in the first quarter.
