Israeli Ministry of Transport has frozen the creation of a Wizz Air base

The Israeli Ministry of Transport announced the freezing of the project to create an operations center for Wizz Air in the country.

The decision was made against the backdrop of the fact that the Hungarian low-cost airline, despite previous plans to expand operations in Israel, continues to not operate flights in the Israeli direction and does not return to the country’s airspace.

The creation of the Wizz Air operations center was previously seen as an important step to increase competition in the Israeli aviation market and expand the supply of low-cost air tickets. The project is now on hold until the company’s position changes.
