Fipav and Csi sign an agreement to grow volleyball in Italy

The Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) and the Italian Sports Center (CSI) sign an agreement to connect the technical excellence of the Federation with the educational capillarity of the reference sports body in the Catholic world.

The agreement signed today in Rome is aimed at promoting and increasing sporting and training activities involving the world of volleyball in Italian parish and territorial realities. It is in fact a strategic synthesis that transforms the agreement into a living alliance, capable of integrating the quality of the “Italian model” with the social soul of oratories and parishes.

This alliance was born from the will of Federal President, Giuseppe Manfrediand of the Federal Council of FIPAV, who were able to look beyond the boundaries of elite competitiveness to grasp the vital essence of Sports Promotion Bodies. Recognizing the CIS as the custodian of the sporting tradition in the oratories, FIPAV has chosen to invest in the “base” of the country, where thousands of young people encounter a volleyball for the first time.

For the CSI, and for his own national president Vittorio Bosioit is an honor to make one’s social network available to one of the Federations that has always brought prestige to Italian sport in the world, particularly in recent years. Together, the objective is clear: to broaden the base of athletes and coaches, bringing federal expertise into the educational fabric of Christian communities, ensuring that every slam dunk in an oratory is the first step on a path of sporting and human growth.

Manfredi: “Initiative of sporting and social value”

“The signing of this agreement with the Italian Sports Center”, declared Manfredi, “represents for us a moment of great sporting and social value. Italian volleyball lives today extraordinary season of international successesbut we are aware that every achievement comes from the strength of the base, from the territories, from the oratories and from the communities where many young people approach our sport for the first time. With CSI we share a vision based on educational values, inclusion and the growth of new generations. This alliance will allow us to make common technical skills, training and planning available, creating new opportunities for athletes, technicians and sports clubs throughout Italy. I thank President Vittorio Bosio and the entire CSI for the availability and constructive spirit demonstrated in these months of discussion. I am sure that this agreement will contribute to further strengthening the role of volleyball as a tool for aggregation, education and human as well as sporting growth.”

“Today’s signature has an added value”, explains Bosio, “in addition to the institutional function. Working in the area, I have always found that the relationship with FIPAV is based on esteem, collaboration and true friendship. Today that bond finds an official role on a national basis, and I am deeply proud of it.

It is an agreement that goes far beyond a standard agreement between FSN and EPS. It shows that when there is authentic dialogue and a desire to work together, as a team, something concrete is built, truly useful for sport. And the fact that this happens with a Federation with international prestige and the results of Federvolley makes everything even more significant.

The value of this agreement lies in the recognition of a world often invisible to great sports narratives: that of the oratories, the parishes, the neighborhood pitches. It is there that we want to bring and strengthen the presence of volleyball, with training courses for technicians and managers, with projects shared in the territories, with concrete tools for our sports clubs. Because every great international result has its roots where a young man or woman touched a ball for the first time in a courtyard.
