Israeli Aviation Industry will open an innovation center in Berlin

The Israeli state-owned defense concern Aviation Industries (IAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state of Berlin to open an aviation and security innovation center in the city.

The memorandum was signed at an official ceremony with the participation of Berlin mayor Kai Wegner, IAI CEO Moshe Levy, as well as senior government officials, city officials and company management.

The innovation center will focus on collaboration with startups in the fields of aviation, security and dual-use technologies. The center will facilitate interaction between industry, government, academia and investors, stimulating local manufacturing, job creation and long-term technological growth.

The memorandum represents an important step in expanding IAI’s presence in Germany and Europe as a whole. The State of Berlin is committed to working closely with IAI to increase the company’s industrial presence in the country, including through the development of production facilities.
