Due to attacks by Ukrainian UAVs, El Al suspends flights from Tel Aviv to Moscow

Israel’s largest airline, El Al, announced the temporary suspension of flights between Tel Aviv and Moscow for the coming days due to the security situation in Russia.

According to the Times of Israel, the decision was made in connection with the development of hostilities between Russia and Ukraine, as well as recent aviation incidents in the region.

The company said it would reassess the situation next week and decide whether to resume flights. Passengers will be notified and given alternative options in accordance with applicable law.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Ukrainian military had struck an oil depot in Russia’s Krasnodar region and two oil refineries near Ufa, about 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
